Ballina Community Sports Centre opened in November 2002 and since then has become one of the premier sports arenas in the country. The Ballina Sports and Leisure Complex, at Abbey Half Quarter (just off Cathedral Road) in Ballina, offers full gym, sporting and conferencing facilities.

Our Group Fitness Classes are updated avery season and almost all are complimentary exept for specialized Classes, ie. Pilates and Tae Chi.

Adult Swimming Lessons - Doggy paddle to butterfly, all levels catered for!

Aquafit - Action packed water workout, Non-Swimmers welcome.

Power Step - A great calorie burner and some fun too.

Spinzone - Burn 500 calories in just 40 minutes. Non-impact, intense and no co-ordination requiered.

Ali Circuit - Circuits with a difference, all stations are designed around Boxing and its high intensity moves. Burn high levels of calories, increase yor speed, agility and improve your awareness

Boot Camp - A class comprising af a variety of military style exercise stations.

Hard Core - Improve your posture, inner strength, stabilize your torso muscles and rid yourself of any of your day-to-day aches. This class is great if you have a sedentary job or lifestyle.

Tae Chi - A moning from Yoga and Meditation, combind with a sequence of movements derived from martial arts and natural movements of animals. A meditative exercise for body and mind.

Pilates - The Pilates method is a conditioning program that improves muscle control, flexibility, co-ordination, strength and tone. The Pilates method works many muscles together, improving co-ordination and balance, to achieve efficient and graceful movement. Pilates emphasizes precisely controlled movements that strengthen the pelvic, abdominal and back muscles, improves alignment and posture, and increase balance and flexibility.

Cycle Reebok - Cycle Reebok is an excellent exercise to strengthen your heart and tone your legs! The class consists of each participant seated on special stationary bikes. The instructor then takes the class on a ‘ride' that includes sprinting and other fun exercises like intervals and circuits. Classes are 45 minutes long.

Stability Ball - Want to burn more calories, even at rest? Always fancied that flat, toned tummy? Hoping to keep your back strong and injury free? Try our new class – a fun workout using Swiss Balls.
